Markets
When registering you should select either Small Market or Industrial Market. The difference is in the amount of goods that can be sold by the Seller. and the weight and dimensions of their packaging when ready for shipping. The Small Market is for microenterprises, with small production capacity, that sell through package shipping; the Industrial Market for companies that sell in containers or in packages (boxes). There is no limit on the number of products you sell on each of these markets.
Parcels Market
This market serves mainly small traders and producers. These include family shops, resellers with shops on Amazon or Ebay, small workshops, etc.
The main characteristic of this market is that the goods traded can be delivered by parcel shipping. The requirements for parcel shipping vary by company, but normally it is up to 25 or 30 kg and the sum of the sizes of the box should not exceed certain limits, that depend on each carrier. Some parcel shipping companies do manage higher weights (for up to 70 kg).
When the buyer comes at the end of the buying process, our website allows selecting the agency that offers the best price or delivery period. The application automatically displays offers only from shipping companies that can handle the load with the given sizes and weight. If no offer is displayed, most probably you should try the carriers under the Industrial markets section.
Buyers should be aware that customs duties may apply of the goods are bought from countries that are outside of the free trade area to which they belong. In this case, every country has limits on the value of the goods delivered before customs duties are levied. We strongly recommend our users to check these limits for their country before ordering parcel shipping from countries outside of the EU or of any other customs union.
This market on our platform also serves the small producer and sellers, that can produce limited series of one product, especially artisan products. These sellers have to check the box for “Selling on parcel market” during the registration process and reflect it in their minimum order quantity and pricing. This may be a very good option for increasing the national and international reach of each producer, especially if they have no financial resources to support distribution network or advertising campaigns.
As for the sellers from EU, they should be aware that given the type of buyers on the parcels market, and if the buyers are from another EU country, it is very much possible that these are not registered for intra-community trade. In this case the sellers should add VAT to the price of their goods according to the EU directives. The sellers can see if the buyer is registered in the VIES system of the European Union on its profile, or simply check it on the VIES website.
Industrial Market
The industrial market serves the bigger clients, where the order quantities are higher. These my vary from Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments to much bigger loads.
